Senior Civil Designer


CASC is seeking a Senior Civil Designer to join our Engineering Team in our corporate office located in Colton, CA. The work will involve a variety of projects in Southern California including government projects, private developments, and major public utility projects. The Civil Engineering work will involve grading, roadways, sewer and water systems, and storm drain design.​​​


Typical Job Responsibilities:


  • ​​Preparing plans, engineering drawings, engineering reports, and regulatory applications
  • Performing calculations involving horizontal and vertical roadway design, hydrology, hydraulics, sewer capacity calculations, earthwork quantity calculations, domestic water pipe network analyses, and storm water quality systems
  • ​Utilizing engineering programs including AutoCAD Civil3D for design/drafting purposes
  • ​Analyzing and incorporating local agency requirements, as well as recommendations from traffic engineer, and geotechnical engineer
  • ​Coordinating with other in-house disciplines
  • Preparing quantity takeoffs and cost estimates
  • ​Performing field design reviews
  • ​Communicating with Project Manager regarding progress and issues of concern
  • ​Checking plans and documents
  • ​Supporting client and agency communications
  • ​Organizing and maintaining electronic and hard files
  • ​Understanding and executing project goals, budgets and schedules
  • ​Providing direction to the supporting staff members
  • ​Training new team members regarding complex design principles and company standards/procedures.

Qualifications


  • ​High level of proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil3D
  • ​Minimum of 12 years of experience in a Civil or Civil-related engineering field
  • ​Strong organizational skills
  • ​Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills
  • ​Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • ​​Ability to work under tight client deadlines

Civil or Environmental Engineer


CASC is seeking a Civil or Environmental Engineer to join the firm’s Water Quality Services Division.  The successful candidate will be one that is anxious to demonstrate a combination of technical, task/project management, and leadership skills that lead to the continued growth and success of the firm, the Water Quality Services Division, and the individual.


​​Minimum Requirements:

  • BS Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
  • Engineer-in-Training Certification.
  • Two to five years of experience providing engineering services.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • NPDES storm water experience covering three or more of the following areas.

  • Municipal services (plan checking, inspections, support services).
  • Storm water monitoring using automated and grab sampling techniques.
  • Post-construction water pollution controls.
  • Construction site storm water management, including SWPPPs.
  • Industrial site storm water management, including SWPPPs.
  • Municipal storm water management.


 

Desirable Attributes:

  • Registration as  a Professional Civil Engineer.
  • CPESC, CPSWQ, or CESSWI Certification.
  • QSD or  QSP Certification.
  • AutoCAD experience.
  • Interest in challenging assignments in a casual, but serious, work environment with plenty of room to grow.

CASC Engineering and Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Civil Designer / EIT to join our Engineering Team in our Inland Southern California headquarters office located in Colton. The work will involve a variety of projects in Southern California including government projects, private developments, and major public utility projects. The Civil Engineering work will involve grading, roadways, sewer and water systems, and storm drain design.

Typical job responsibilities:

  • Under the guidance and supervision of a licensed professional engineer, assisting in the preparation of plans, engineering drawings, engineering reports, and regulatory applications
  • Performing engineering calculations involving horizontal and vertical roadway design, hydrology, hydraulics, sewer capacity calculations, earthwork quantity calculations, domestic water pipe network analyses, and stormwater quality systems.
  • Utilizing engineering programs including AutoCAD and Civil3D for design and drafting purposes
  • Analyzing and incorporating local agency requirements, as well as recommendations form traffic engineer, and geotechnical engineer
  • Performing field design reviews for projects
  • Assisting in client and agency communications
  • Participating in team meetings to understand project goals, budgets and schedules
  • Helping to train new team members regarding basic design principles and company procedures.


Qualifications:

·         Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university
·         Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification
·         One to five years of experience in a Civil or Civil-related engineering field
·         Experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D
·         Good communication skills
·         Ability to work in a team environment

Student Intern ACAD Draftsman/Part-time

CASC Engineering and Consulting, Inc. is seeking an ACAD student/intern draftsman to join our Team in our Southern California Inland Empire headquarters office located in Colton. The candidate should be proficient in AutoCAD. Experience/proficiency with other software is a plus (graphic programs such as Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Publisher, Google Sketch up, etc.). The work may involve ACAD drafting of various plans for a variety of landscape/irrigation/ engineering/water quality projects in California.

Typical job responsibilities:

  • Under the supervision of CASC staff, assist in CAD drafting of landscape plans and details, irrigation plans and details, storm water quality plans and details, and various engineering plans and details as needed.
  • Utilize AutoCAD and Civil 3D for drafting purposes.
  • Other drafting or administrative duties as assigned.


Qualifications:


  • CAD Operator Certificate or working to achieve that certificate or equivalent
