CASC served as the lead planning, engineering, and construction management consultant on this master planned community on the historic Chapman Ranch in Yucaipa. This project involved the preparation of preliminary and final engineering plans, preliminary and final entitlements of implementing tract maps, management and oversight of design guidelines, and mapping for a 1,000-acre golf course/commercial and residential development.
The community is centered around the $10 million Yucaipa Valley Golf Club, which features a 6,803 yard 18-hole par 72 course designed by Rainville-Bye. The project also includes the 25-acre Yucaipa Valley Center whichincludes a variety of retail stores including a Vons supermarket, a Starbucks, McDonalds, and other retail and office space facilities. An open space network encompassing coastal sage scrub, coast life oak woodlands, native grasslands, and miles of multi-use trails was preserved and enhanced as a key community amenity.
