Design Engineer II

My earliest memories include assisting my dad and grandpap with projects and miscellaneous improvements around the house. When I was 10, our family purchased a house on property with a lake view. The property was beautiful, but the house needed a lot of work. We spent the entire summer fixing it up, and it was then that I realized how much I really like building things, problem solving, and construction in general. I told my contractor older brother that I wanted to work with him when I was older, but he told me that I should be a civil engineer. As I grew older, I continued to appreciate and become more interested in the built environment, so I knew I wanted to pursue civil engineering as my career.

As I learned by our home improvement project when I was a kid, there is something very rewarding about seeing a project through and watching the evolution of a project everybody worked hard to see through. Having the opportunity to work through unique design challenges and other project related hurdles as a career is very gratifying. Getting to do so with Casc is just as gratifying. There is tremendous diversity in regard to clientele and the types of projects we get to work on, so there is a seemingly endless amount of opportunities to grow my career. Casc instills the confidence and motivation to grow and learn our industry. The work environment and culture I have experienced at Casc is unlike any other workplace I have experienced. With a young family at home, Casc provides the flexibility and support needed at times to put family first.
